The DoD UID Policy has been required since 2003. This OSD mandate affects the Department of Defense, all services, Program Managers, Industry and DoD Suppliers; both large and small businesses.
IUID is MORE than “just another policy mandate.” IUID is the KEY that will enable your program or system to take advantage of accurate data, linking Automatic Identification Systems (AIS), and allowing critical decisions to be made with confidence.

DoD PERSONNEL REGISTRATION OFFER FOR UID FORUM 2012 - Atlanta:
A limited number of funded registrations
will be offered to DoD employees that register
for the UID Forum. If awarded, funded registrations will be available
ONLY to those that have not attended a previous Forum. Restrictions apply. Funding covers the cost of the registration
fee only. Travel, hotel and other expenses remain the
registrant's responsibility. Regular rates apply
to those that register after all funded registrations
are consumed.
Discounts are available to those that have attended
a previous Forum and want to continue their UID education.
